1% For The Planet:
We are proud to say that we are applying to be a member of 1% for the Planet. This group is an alliance of businesses committed to pooling their resources to create a healthier planet. Every member donates at least 1% of their annual sales to environmental organizations worldwide.
The Green Grind believes that every business is entitled to make a profit, but that profits don’t have to be the only goal of business. The Green Grind wants to prove that it can be successful while still giving back to the world. We can use the open market to create a sustainable business that not only doesn’t hinder the natural world and actually improves it. Our participation in 1% for The Planet guarantees that our commitment is real, and will last.

Bullfrog Power:
The Green Grind is applying to be Bullfrogpowered! This means that we will buy renewable power (wind and hydro power plants that have been certified as low impact by Environment Canada) to run our coffee shop. Individuals and companies can buy Bullfrog power and we are proud to join the ranks of others buying this power such as World Wildlife Fund and David Suzuki Foundation. This is just one more way we can be as green as possible and ensure that you, the customer, can feel good about your purchase.
Bullfrog Power also has a Green Directory that you can search so you can support other companies making a commitment to green power generation. The more people that are Bullfrogpowered the more demand there is for green power, making a cleaner, greener world.
Bullfrog Power is 100% Canadian owned and operated and is a responsible corporation that donates 10% of its profits to non-profit organizations that promote sustainability.
